so, i'm sitting here now backing up my pics so i can free up a bit of space on my computer and start getting more organized. it's taking quite a while, so in the meantime I'm checking out some of my fav blogs. so, i thought i'd share:
if you're into seeing some wild use of color and product, check out this very accomplished (and young! she's only 23!!) artist:

HA!, and my mom thought there was no future for me with an art degree! I WISH I would have had Michelle's resume on hand to combat that! Maybe it would have saved me years of struggling through icky Bio and Chem labs! oh well, live & learn, right!
next, check out one of the top rated scrap sites, SIStv:

Man, I wish I would have seen this puppy 2 months ago when I shelled out $20 for gaffer tape in just plain black -- check out the pink houndstooth gaffer tape they sell!!

(ps--you can use gaffer tape to bind books, journals, minibooks, etc that you construct yourself -- check out the pic of the journal I made with gaffer tape to sell in my etsy shop)
CLEARLY, you can use this tape for whatever you fancy, but it works really well for binding books. Just take some pieces cut from cardboard boxes, cover in fabric or cardstock that is glued down w/modge podge or gel medium, and when that's all dry, tape the pieces of cardboard together to make a front & back for your book. BEa-UUUUU-T-iful!
ahhhh, November's photo backup disk just popped out. that took forever! only 6 more months to burn until i catch up to where i ended my backups last time . . . do i hear "digital file backup procrastinator"!!???????!!!
