so busy

wow, the week has flown by. i can't believe christmas is in a week from today! luckily i've finished all of my shopping . . . at least i think i have! this week has been SO busy. completing project after project, i'm gaining ispiration from all the beauty around me. today, i took my inspiration from a hero arts/basic grey contest going on in which a sketch was provided. the sketch looked like this:

this was my first time ever designing from someone's sketch, but, you know me, i'm always up for a challenge!

so, here's what i came up by turning the sketch a bit and adding some paper ruffles i made along the bottom of the circle (i LOVED these lacey ruffles!). i also used some hero arts bird stamps
and embossed them and added some cute silver rhinestones . . . oh, and the stitching, would it BE my page without a little stitching!??! all in all, it was really fun to challenge myself and i'm really glad i did . . . and, who knows, maybe i'll win the challenge!!! (fingers crossed!)
