cabin fever

so, what is a girl to do when she's been snowed in for nearly 2 weeks with 4 small kids & an insatiable sweet tooth!?  seriously, it's not time to be judgmental here, just take a cue from those cuties over at one of my FavOriTe sites bakerella and make this big love cookie for your little valentines.  take a few minutes to browse all of their yummy recipes & be inspired to make something not just tasty, but really, REALLY original & cute.

for me, this valentines day will be more about showing those i love how much i care for them, and for some reason, it all seems to start and end with chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate!!  i am realizing in my old(er) age that their are so many people who bless my life & i rarely ever show them any "real" thanks.  sure, they probably know that i adore them, but even with the hectic/busy world of a WAHM, i think it is so important to take a few moments this valentines to make certain they know just how much they are appreciated.  i think that in too many years past i always used the excuse, "i'm too busy" to do many special things for those who touch my life & this year i've vowed to live differently.  so, while i'm snowed in with the kids, i figured we could start doing something nice & turn our focus to making some goodies for those special people in our lives.  so, no, this isn't a cookie for the weak at heart, nor is it one of my "healthy choices" but it's not meant to be an everyday treat . . . just a little reminder that everyone is loved in different ways by different people & the world is so much *COOLER* because you are in it!

much love, natasha
