last night we started our new christmas tradition (an idea from my friend cheryl!) . . . christmas chocolate fondue! yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm-my! we cut up some pound cake, brownies (because what's better than chocolate . . . MORE chocolate!), marshmallows, bananas, and oreos and dipped them in a Ghiradelli dark & white chocolate mix, sprinkled with walnuts. pure heaven! then, as if that wasn't enough sugar for the kids, we set them up with tons of brightly colored sprinkles, freshly baked sugar cookies, and vanilla and chocolate frosting so that they could decorate cookies for santa. they had a blast . . . and ate quite a few too! (sorry, santa, but mrs. claus says you've been looking a little plump this year!) i hope at least one of the cookies lasts until tomorrow night, otherwise we'll have to leave santa an apple this year!
