tonight we put up our Christmas tree and let me just tell you, what a metaphor for how this year has gone! we went to Home Depot this year instead of the cute little christmas tree farm we usually go to because . . . it was cheaper. well, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for! i'm just hoping that we'll get used to the slight "lean" the tree has & that a decent amount of needles will stay on it by the time christmas actually rolls around. but, in the theme of this year, i am trying to stay positive and look at it this way: at least we HAVE a tree, and a home to put it in, and a family to decorate it with . . . you know what i mean!??! there is SO much to be thankful for, and eventhough this year was the roughest so far, there is always more to be thankful for. we just need to recognize it.
sorry for not staying on top of this blog as i wanted to/planned to, but you know what (else) they say!: "life" sometimes gets in the way.
anyway, here's to a wonderful holiday season, and a bright new year, filled with hope, love, prosper, good health, and gratitude for all that we have and all that we give to each other. i love all of you and hope that things slow down a bit here so that i can write more and craft more . . . that is my one wish for the new year!!

Good to hear from you. I have been thinking about you. Stay positive!
We always go to Home Depot...our trees have been pretty good...but we have never gone to a farm! Just keep watering the tree and keep it away from the fireplace!!
