so, i have been itching to write a blog entry for DAYS, but i always feel pressured to include a picture. sometimes, though, i only have a few minutes & searching/posting a picture would be a few extra minutes that i just don't have. so, here's to entries without pictures that can be just as great, and often, just as necessary!
my question for the last few days has been: which comes first, growing up or knowing what you want to do when you grow up!? i have so many ideas for what it is i would like to do with my time when all the kiddos are off in school (which isn't that far off for me . . . YEAH!), but i just can't seem to narrow it down to that one thing that i'd enjoy. maybe i need several things to keep me busy?? what about you? is work just a job for you, or is it much more? well, i'm still soul searching (and i'll keep you posted when i reach my epiphany!) . . . but i'd love to hear your opinion!
merry christmas . . . only a few days left!

I can tell you this...I absolutely ENJOY doing accounting work...and love to stretch myself further on it..so while I work, it is enjoyable and not just a job...but I would rather just be a stay at home mom right now.
Also--if money weren't a factor in my life, and I didnt worry so much about finding new clients or whatever, I would give myself more time to learn musical instruments (especially the piano and guitar) or scrapbook!
So there you go! I enjoy my profession...but would also like to enjoy other things as well!
I guess it's the "curse" of being a woman/mom . . . we enjoy the satisfaction, etc., of having a profession, but there are so many other things in life (like mommy-ing) that can bring a smile to our face too . . . and that take up so much of our time, sometimes we just don't have time for all of it!!
I think I would love to further explore my creative side, whether studying more on interior design or doing something with graphic design along with Gregg or graphic painting (not the same as regular painting) and coming up with some sort of business for it, but not something where our livelihood depends on it, if that makes sense. I had an amazing career, but it would take me away from the house for 60+ hours a week, and my shorties are too important for me to be gone that long.
best wishes on exploring your creative side, megan!! it's so much fun!! and enjoy those shorties while they're shorties!! ;)
