My outlet

I have a family blog. But, it seems to be more about me and my daily happenings with the kids, my art, or me just sitting around in my pj's telling everyone about it! So, it's really about time I created this blog solely about me so that I can have a little space on the web to talk about my day and not feel like it's false advertising! (you show up at the fam blog and can't find any stories about anyone else! lol!)

Anyway, today was a pretty good day in the studio. Ian had the kids while I worked on my projects, which is great especially since Hudson now 9 months old doesn't even let me get 2 steps away from him (literally!) without throwing a fit these days. I did manage to set up a little space for Cameron and Azelin to do create some art too and, of course, the entire studio is a disaster now. Azelin creates much like me . . . quietly, deliberately, and after she's done, it looks like a tornado ravaged the place! It'll take a little while to put everything back together, but it was worth it. I did 2 layouts today -- one of which was my first ever Christmas layout (I refuse to scrap holidays for the most part b/c I HATE anything cheesy or cliche, but it turned out just my style! SURPRISE to ME!). The other LO was about me and Azelin. Just random pics from the first 3-4 years of her life that were good-looking, but I wouldn't have known what topic to scrap them under, so I just lumped them together and made a pretty yummy layout w/them!

I REALLY want to post a pic of my studio to start off with, but, alas, my beloved Mac is sitting in a Fed Ex terminal in Richmond tonight, making its way home from being serviced. We'll see if they got anywhere with it without killing all of the data that was stored on it. If all my pics are there though, you know what I'll be doing on Monday when I get it back! Backing that baby up!

Also on the adjenda for the coming week: post my online LO gallery, submit to publication and DT calls and get serious about my dream of working in the scrapbooking world!
